Race and Ethnicity Division

The Race and Ethnicity Division remains committed to inclusive excellence in its panel and collaboration with other sections throughout the program.  The panels reflect a balance in methodology and areas research specialization. We were committed to ensuring that the panel’s included faculty members from various universities, particularly HBCUs and smaller teaching and liberal arts institutions. The REP section values collaboration as evident in the co-sponsored panels with Politics and History. We also are co-sponsoring a workshop on Recruiting and Retaining Faculty with Women and Politics Research. The workshop will be presented on behalf of People of Color also know stuff. Also evident of our commitment to expand REP within the discipline this year’s author meets critics will focus on a book addressing the role of racial animus as a political strategy within the south.
